Wines which we regard as having superior keeping qualities are matured for at least two years in new small oak barrels and are found in this catalogue under the designation 'Riserva'.		he Wines Castel Ringberg and Kastelaz boast some of Alto Adige’s most highly revered sites. The former facing south-east and Kastelaz which faces due south. In the south of Alto Adige the climate is uniquely mild considering that this is Italy’s northernmost wine-growing area, a factor which we exploit by planting vines which yield fragrant white wines in higher sites, while my full-bodied reds including the award-winning Cabernet come from the warm, lower slopes.
