Concentrated, less aromatic but full-bodied whites which are intended to last and develop complexity with age are fermented or partly matured in new oak. They include our 'Cru wines' bearing the name Kastelaz or Castel Ringberg and owe their concentration to our drastically reducing vineyard yields. These efforts have not gone unrewarded, as revealed by the international awards and accolades they have been showered with.		he Wines Castel Ringberg and Kastelaz boast some of Alto Adige’s most highly revered sites. The former facing south-east and Kastelaz which faces due south. In the south of Alto Adige the climate is uniquely mild considering that this is Italy’s northernmost wine-growing area, a factor which we exploit by planting vines which yield fragrant white wines in higher sites, while my full-bodied reds including the award-winning Cabernet come from the warm, lower slopes.
